Assistance process

How Malasakit assistance works

A clear path from your first visit at the desk through assessment, documents, and assistance processing.

  1. Registration

Visit the Malasakit desk with your ID and hospital papers. Staff locate your record or begin registration after privacy consent.

  2. Assessment

A social case assessment reviews your situation so staff can see what assistance may apply.

  3. Document verification

Required bills, abstracts, and program forms are checked and updated until your file is complete.

  4. Assistance processing

Eligible requests are tracked from review through approval and release when aid is provided.

Hospital staff: sign in to the workspace. Patients: create a portal account after desk registration.

Aligned with the patient consent agreement used before creating an electronic health record.

Consent & lawful use

Personal and health information is processed for registration, treatment, billing, and assistance—as described in the patient consent agreement shown before creating a record.

Confidential access

Records stay inside the hospital workspace. Only authorized staff who need the information for their duties can view or update a case.

Your privacy rights

You may request correction of inaccurate information and exercise rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), subject to hospital policy and legal limits.

The same principles in the desk consent flow apply to every module in this system—patients, assessments, documents, and financial assistance.
